Christina Fox – Writer,Contributor

I am a stay at home mom finding my way along the journey God has prepared for me. A broken and wounded mom of two boys, I have often found myself humbled and defeated. Having been a child psychotherapist prior to having children, I thought I knew a great deal about children. God has been showing me that I need to rely on his strength and wisdom and not my own. Writing has been a creative and therapeutic outlet for me where I share with transparency my struggles with depression, the joys and challenges of being a mom, and the way God is working in my heart as he refines me.

Raised in the Washington, D.C. area, I went to college at Covenant College atop Lookout Mountain in Georgia. It was there I met my husband and after we married, we settled in Florida. He’s a hard working firefighter who also has a second profession in the business world. I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and am a licensed mental health counselor.

My favorite things to do are: reading, blogging, antiquing, getting pedicures, traveling, and being with friends. I teach a woman’s bible study at my church as well as teach children in Sunday school. Someday, I’d like to write a book about depression.
